Mayor, Sheriff, Police Chief to serve as celebrity waiters tonight | Crime
Athens, AL (WAFF) - Some local celebrities are rolling up their sleeves to help out a good cause in Limestone County Tuesday night.
Athens Mayor ronnie Marks, Police Chief Floyd Johnson, Councilman Jimmy Gill and attorney Shane Black are among those participating in "celebrity waiter night" at Applebee's from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. All tips collected will benefit the American Cancer Society. Local actor Frank Travis, Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely, Probate Judge Charles Woodroff and Circuit Clerk Brad Curnutt will also be involved. They're all aiming to take down former Circuit Clerk Charles Page, who has dominated the event in recent years.
Athens Fire and Rescue Chief Tony Kirk will serve as greeter.
