Woman accused of trying to smuggle drugs into jail | Crime
Athens, AL (WAFF) - A Lauderdale County woman is facing extra charges after police say she tried to sneak marijuana into the Limestone County Jail.
Investigators tell WAFF that 39 year old Amanda Leigh Jones was arrested on DUI charges and was going through the booking process when officers found pot in her pocket.
She's been charged with DUI, promoting prison contraband, and improper lights. She's being held on $6,500 bond.
