Car dealership burglary leads to arrest | Crime
A burglary to an Athens car dealership led to the arrest of one man.
Athens Police said the alarm at the CAR Mart on U.S. 72 was activated late Sunday night.
When officers arrived, they found damage to the back of the building and a car in the area that was still warm.
Officers monitored the vehicle and shortly after 2 a.m., it was seen leaving the location.
Police followed the vehicle and stopped it.
The driver, Anthony James Marlon III was interviewed and arrested. He was charged with attempted burglary third degree and criminal mischief second degree.
