Midnight Madness disc golf tourney scheduled at ASU | Community Spirit
Disc golf is an exciting and interesting way to keep active and have fun outdoors. Whether you’re a pro at the game, or if this is the first time you’ve even heard the term, you can have fun playing disc golf and help out a charity at the same time.
The Athens State University Alumni Association will be holding a Midnight Madness disc golf tournament benefitting the American Cancer Society.
The event will be held on August 17. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m., a players’ meeting will be held at 5:20 p.m., and the day round will begin at 5:30 p.m. The tournament will be held on the disc golf course located near the ASU Library.
“There will be five divisions in the tournament,” stated Alumni Director Trish DiLullo. “There will be an open category, women’s category, advanced, intermediate, recreational, and novice/junior categories.”
The $30 entry fee will included a large player’s pack for all players, including a CRF Champion Glo-disc, LED lights and batteries for three discs, a golf towel, hiking socks, and snacks for tackling between-round hunger.
