Fiddlers convention coming to Athens State | Arts & Culture

This weekend, Athens State University will host the 46th annual Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention.

In the past more than 15,000 people have attended the two day event.

Competition categories include fiddle, guitar, harmonica, mandolin, bluegrass banjo, dulcimer, old time singing, and buck dancing.

Sunday night the Fiddle Champion will be announced.

Riders In The Sky will headline the convention. They will perform on the Founders Hall stage at 4:00 p.m. Friday.
